Well, one thing is for sure, when it comes to oil painting, there was A LOT I didn’t know. Now when I say a lot, I mean a lot, it was almost overwhelming.
This cast painting is now on it’s fifth incarnation, I believe, and everything about it has been daunting for me. I never knew exactly how much information needed to be processed in order to make …

I wanted to combine an update and a lesson all in one post here. As you know, I’ve recently began my cast painting and it’s been a thrill. A lot of issues are coming up for me I noticed though, one being I have a hard time concentrating with all that information coming in, and two, I suck at determining color temperature right now.

There are some bad pictures in there, so go see what a crappy artist really likes to do on his freetime.
Posted on April 22, 2007 | Ramblings | 0 CommentsIt’s killing me. I can’t wait to get to Dallas to study with Jon Hardesty. I’ve known Jon for quite a few years, he provided incredible inspiration for me, his growth over the years has been nothing short of amazing. It’s encouraging to see how much hard work with a little smidgen of raw talent will help you grow. Unfortunately, the last couple of years …
